Mr. Balla served in the US Army’s 82nd Airborne Division as a Ground Surveillance Radar Technician.

Born in Hungary, Mr. Balla came to the United Stares with his family when he was 12 years old.  He has since been very involved in the Hungarian-American community.  For many years he served as Director of the Széchenyi Hungarian Community School and Kindergarten in New Brunswick, NJ.  He was also the Chairman of the Committee of the Hungarian Churches & Organizations in New Brunswick.  He is a frequent lecturer on Hungarian language and culture.
