John Nemec
Law Enforcement Practice |
Mr. John Nemec is a retired senior FBI Special Agent with over 25 years with the Bureau. He has served as a Member of the Evidence Response and HAZAT Teams and the Crisis/Incident Team for 9/11, G-8 Summit in Savannah, Georgia in 2004, The Democrat and Republican national political conventions, and the Anthrax Task Force.
As case agent/relief supervisor of investigative matters at the New York, Newark, and Baltimore agencies, Mr. Nemec conducted complex and multi-jurisdictional domestic, international terrorism, and organized crime and narcotics investigations. As a special agent, his responsibilities included crisis response to chemical, biological, and radiological threats, forensic evidence collection, and facilitation of relationships with government entities to collect intelligence.
One of Mr. Nemec’s final FBI assignments was as a watch commander in Washington, DC at the Counter Terrorism Watch, National Counter Terrorism Center. He has also briefed the National Terrorism Task Force and intelligence community regarding potential and actual terrorism threats. In 1997, Mr. Nemec was involved in the crisis response of the TWA Flight 800 incident in Long Island, NY.
A Captain with the Marine Corps in the 1970s, Mr. Nemec served as a Battalion level Intelligence Officer and a Counterintelligence Sub Team Commander at the Washington Navy Yard where he was responsible for analyzing intelligence for Staff Officer’s briefings.
