Colonel (Res.) Avi Oren, Israel Air Force (Retired) served as a senior executive with Motorola for 20 years. His tenure with Motorola culminated in his assignment as the Director of Communication Systems Operations for Motorola Israel, with an annual business responsibility of US $50 million that was followed with 4 years in the United States as Director of Motorola Israel's Liaison office.
For 22 years that preceded his tenure in Motorola, Avi served in the Israel Air Force (IAF). Avi served as a fighter pilot and flew for the IAF for 35 years (including in reserve service). For 11 years, as an Electronic Engineer, Avi was assigned in senior positions of Development and Operational Requirement Definition for Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I), Navigation, and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). During his last assignment in the IAF prior to retirement, Avi served as the Chief Communications Officer.
During his operational and technical careers, Avi experienced many multidisciplinary activities: Operations, Technology and Engineering, Systems and Applications and with his leadership and management skills accumulated vast experience in marketing and management both in the Military/Defense domain and in the Commercial markets, both domestically and internationally. Avi earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Technion, The Israel Institute of Technology, and attended the Israel Air Force Academy.
