Bangladesh is a country with a population of 160 million and a landmass approximately equivalent to the state of Iowa. Even with the recent change in government, it remains the only democratic government of a country with a predominantly Muslim population. In spite of its pro-Western inclinations, Bangladesh has not enjoyed the benefits of any significant economic activity with western nations, and in particular, the United States.

Defense Solutions’ efforts in Bangladesh include re-equipping the Bangladesh military to support its participation in United Nations peace keeping missions; upgrading port infrastructure and security; and assisting US companies in gaining access to the Bangladesh market.
